Who can practice Taichi?

There is no age bar - we have students starting from 10 yrs to 85 yrs at the moment.

It is suitable for a sports person, a normal fit person, very fit person and an unfit person.

It is safe for pregnant women, heart patients, people suffering with Arthritis and those who cannot perform strenuous exercise.

Even if you have never done any form of exercise in your lifetime you can still start Yang Style Tai Chi from the first day itself - It is so simple and safe. If you can WALK, you can do Tai Chi.
It is particularly beneficial to stressed out people. Imbalance or stress is caused because of wrong lifestyle, wrong posture, wrong breathing

etc. Study shows that many people in 25 to 35 yrs age group, have high B.P / heart ailments and take pills regularly. Most have high-pressure sedentary lifestyles.

Those who feel they’ve missed the bus, have another opportunity to learn martial arts.

Hi,
Many women-students discontinue when they are carrying. From personal experience, i can assure them that TaiChi is the one exercise that is not just safe but greatly beneficial to continue. i used to practise TaiChi till the last month of my pregnancy. The exercise keeps you fit, your muscles toned and helps you emotionally as well. Tai chi helps to maintain the fine balance...
